Education Opportunities
at Organ
Vacation Bible School
Every summer, we extend an invitation to the local community to attend VBS. Classes are available for all ages starting with pre-school and including adults. You can check out photos of the fun had by all on our Facebook page.
Agape Day Camp
Also, during the summer we offer kids from the fist grade through middle school the opportunity attend Agape Day. This is a week long day camp that we hold each year. Trained and vetted counselors from Agape Kure Beach Ministries come and minister to the children through what can best be described as orchestrated madness. Each year everyone look forward to this event enthusiastically.
Children’s Church
We offer vibrant Children’s Church. Each Sunday during 10:30 worship toddlers through elementary school age worship and learn of Jesus and his love in a safe and caring environment.
Sunday School
We offer Sunday School at 9:30am for all ages beginning with nursery class and including all stages of life.
Bible Study
Starting each September through the end of May Bible study is offered twice each Wednesday, 11am and 6:30pm.
Confirmation and First Communion Classes
Confirmation is taught by the pastor and one lay assistant. Children who are in the seventh grade and up participate in this two year course. Each child is able to attend Campfirmation camp at Lutheridge twice during this period. Classes are held the second Saturday of each month from 8am through 12noon. First communion training is held upon appointment with the pastor.
Inquirers Class
This class is taught by pastor Ours by appointment. It is for those who are curious about membership, Lutheranism or Christianity in general. We encourage membership here at Organ church as we are called to become active members (Rom 12:5) of the Body of Christ locally and globally.
